How do you organize your music?

Just like the title says, i'm looking for an efficient way to organize my iTunes and can't figure out a way to do it. Basically i have one huge playlist that makes it hell to look for one song specifically that i want to listen to. How do you guys make it so its easier to look for specific songs?

there should be a button that has an "eyeball" on it. this drops down the artists/albums/genre columns. thats what i use. makes finding songs easier just by using the artist. thats what i do

haha sorry, i meant more through playlists on your iPod, not necessarily iTunes. Like i only have one huge playlist on my iPod that makes it hard to find individual songs, and i feel like if i had a better way to make playlists that it would make it more organized on my iPod.

I tend to organize my list like this:

But really, it's up to you. There's so many ways to organize your lists. Do you listen to a lot of different genres? You could make, for example, a classical list, a techno list, an acoustic list... that's usually what I do.

You could also have a "Morning List" (I like classical or symphony music in the morning), "Workout List", "Night time List" (I love me some techno at night), "Bed Time List" (usually softer acoustic music). Just whatever really.

You can search by song, artist, album and genre on your iPod. You can also make smart playlists.

I put my albums in alphabetical order by artist on a shelf.
    Squats work better than supplements.
"You know, if I thought like that, I'd never put more than one plate on the bar for anything, I'd never use bands or chains, I'd never squat to parallel or below, and I'd never let out the slightest grunt when I lift. At some point in your lifting career (assuming you're planning on getting reasonably strong and big), you're going to have to accept that most people think you are some kind of freak." -Sensei

I create separate folders on my computer for each artist. Within each folder I have subfolders for each album. I have a separate folder with all of my playlists. The search feature in WMP makes it possible to be much less organized, however.
