Is this a good source of carbs?
It's all natural. 100% pure squeezed Tropicana. I plan on making a tuna/orange juice shake for breakfast tomorrow.
Look at the carb content on the back? ...
Tampica has a lot of sugars and the carbs are probably simple if anything...
which is not a good source...
It depends if the OP is bulking or cutting.
If cutting, then OJ is not the wisest choice at all.
If bulking, and you really dont like eating fresh fruit, a concept Ill never grasp, then OJ isnt that bad of choice. Make sure it doesnt have any added junk.
Just tuna by itself in shake form sounds awful.

I love it.
Anyways, Built - I have to really disagree. You're not convinced that an 8 oz Coke is worse than an orange juice? When was the last time you put a rusty nail in orange juice and it came out sparkling clean? That's like saying donuts aren't as bad as natty pb if the single donut has a little less fat.
The tuna + orange juice is actually called a "Chico State Post-workout Tuna Shake".
You can find more crazy tuna shake recipies here:

I know you are all very passionate about your diets, and okay, you should be. In fact I'm impressed by most people here and their attention to detail.I would however like to point out that there is more to food analysis than counting calories, protein, fat and carbs. Juice is what you get on a cleanse out when you eat so much fruit your afternoon sit on the toilet reminds you of spray painting. Coke is what you get when you synthesize some chemicals, mix them with water, add some sugar, flavouring, colouring and process until consistent. Which one are YOU going to choose kids? This debate is really quite silly. Juice is healthier. Simple. Yes, juice contains more calories than some artificial diet-soda, but who cares? Isn't that the point of eating? Who the hell lives on soft drinks for 2 weeks to fight a serious illness? This debate is really body builder propaganda. Eat fruit, drink fruit, be merry, live long.
Sorry.
Eating fruit is fine. Kids shouldn't be drinking the stuff. Way too much fructose for their little livers to handle.
We have an epidemic of type II diabetes among children. Fruit juice is not an innocent bystander.
Drink water. Drink tea. Drink milk. But don't give your children fruit juice and tell them it's healthy. Healthier than coca-cola is hardly an endorsement for proper nutrition.![]()

Aside from the fact that it is full of sugar, doesn't juice have some benefits vitamin-wise?
^^
When you drink juice, it's like drinking soda with vitamins. Many of the nutritional benefits are lost during the juicing process as well. Eat fruit, don't drink it.

Yeah...good one.He also said "juice", not "fruit".

While this seems to be added humor, is this also your providing of further analysis of food than simply calories, pro, fat, carbs?
If so, your effort in whatever this thread is debating might be more convincing if you actually elaborate or provide more factual detail on what you initiated in the bold above.
OMG simple sugars - run for your life!!
In the context of a healthy lifestyle OJ is not harming anyone (or making them fat).
That's a picture of Scarlett Johansson.
