Halo 3 Beta

So about 6 hours until the Halo 3 Beta comes out. I'm ****in pumped. This is why Crackdown is worth the $60, only because of the next 2 weeks of the Halo 3 beta. Anyone else goona be on it this morning? If you see 'WunscH' kicking your ass on xbl, its me baby hahaha. I'd love to play with some wbb members.

What makes it so overrated? I've been addicted ever since the orignal launched with xbox. The multiplayer is amazing. Nothing compares imo.

There is always that one person in every forum who loves being the "Forum A-Hole" and takes it way too seriously. He's like the computer geek lifter from the guido & luigi comics, safely getting into unneeded arguments behind the safety of the internet.

Anyway, I was addicted to Halo 2 for a while in highschool, then stopped, then got addicted again over winter break. Unfortunately Halo3 comes out right when I transfer to a new college, so I'm not going to buy it, otherwise I'd get addicted to it and not meet any new people. I feel conflicted about getting it because I know it is going to be awesome, but I don't want to waste my college years playing it.

I don't like the game either, but I wouldn't call it overrated. I think it's one of the most successful game franchises for a reason.

I don't enjoy games like Halo because I suck so bad it's a wonder the universe doesn't implode when I log in. Primarily. However, a good secondary reason is the abdunance of l33t. Hard to find a good clean mature game unless you're in a dedicated group.

So microsoft/bungie ****ed up and this still hasnt been released. Its 6.5 hrs past when they originally said it would be available and still nothing.

besides the multi player i didnt like halo2 too much, maybe because it was too easy . but halo1 kicked major ass and i am looking forword to halo3. just need to get a 360 but before i get a 360 i need to get a HiDef tv, but i guess i have time

Frankly, the only thing worthwhile in the game is online multiplayer. I was an addict for Halo 1 and 2 and then realized how all of them will basically be the same with one or two more levels.

Great game. Boring levels, story line is short, and easy to beat. But, multiplayer is awesome. I find that purchasing supplements now is/was better than owning the game and playing and purchasing the online account.

Halos ok, but nothing that motivates me to purchase a 360 to play it the same as the previous halo's didn't motivate me to get an original xbox.

Looks like a half decent game though, and it will be successful

Everytime I want to jump on Halo 2(like now), I think of what I could be doing. Reading some good articles, plannin meals out for later maybe, or just reading a book. Although there are always better things to do, some fun to goof off once in a while is nice.

Halo 3 should be alot more fun and not as frustrating because they seemed to have fixed alot of the problems in Halo 2 that made it very unfair. Such as the sword, noob combo, human sniper rifle, rockets, and magnetism. Supposedly the Carbine is going to be the next "go to" weapon.

What? How was the sniper rifle, rockets or even the sword unfair? There were always ways of taking out the person who had those things with other weapons. I dont know what you mean by magnetism. But yes I do agree with the noob combo, that **** is annoying.

The beta has been alright so far. Not really much different from Halo 2, other than a few new weapons and a little better graphics. Oh well, a nice change from GOW, that game is getting old.

I personally prefer multiplayer of Halo2 to gears of war. Maybe it's just because I'm so used to/addicted to halo 2. So how is the beta? I'm assuming you can't play it online?
