Best way to make cottage cheese taste good?

Never really eaten cottage cheese before, never appealed to me until today as work when I saw a 1/2 cup serving has 13g of protein (!!!). I tried some, it didn't taste too bad but it's so bland. Maybe because I was eating the crappy Guidas bulk cottage cheese. What's the best stuff out there? What can I add so it doesn't taste so.. bleh?

I eat it fat free, which prob tastes teh worst plain but some ideas:

    Cottage Cheese, avocado, salsa.
    Cottage cheese, peanut butter, fruit.
Cottage Cheese on top of salads.
Cottage Cheese Blended with Chocolate protein powder, frozen and served later.
Oatmeal with cottage cheese dumped in, piles of cinnamon.

    Cottage cheese is very versatile.

Try adding some chopped up fruit to it. Or just man up and take it with a few swigs of water.

Uh, this man gags like Jenna Jameson when he eats cottage cheese; I have to hide it in some apple sauce.

A pinch of splenda. Fruit. Peanut butter. Nuts. Salsa. Add it to a protein shake. Use it to cook protein pancakes/waffles. Use it to make protein icecream.

I don't usually have protein shakes.. I'm looking for easy things to add so I can just take a cup of it as a snack or something. I'll try some fruit or some such I guess.

    add peaches or applesauce mmm
Way down this road, in a gym far away, a young man was once heard to say, "I've repped high and I've repped low, No matter what I do my legs won't grow."

He tried leg extensions, leg curls, and leg presses, too. Trying to cheat these sissy workouts he'd do. From the corner of the gym where the big men train, Through a cloud of chalk and the midst of pain.

Where the big iron rides high and threatens lives, Where the noise is made with big forty fives. A deep voice bellowed as he wrapped his knees, A very big man with legs like trees.

Laughing as he snatched another plate from the stack, Chalking his hands and monstrous back, Said "Boy stop lying and don't say you've forgotten, Trouble with you is you ain't been SQUATTIN"

IF you havn't found any ideas!

You can use cott cz as ur dressing on a salad... put it on top of the salad n top it off with sunflower seeds... soooo yummy! Or my sbsolute fav- u can use the fat free for this too- use sugar substitute and add that in it with cinnamon. I know it sounds gross, but it's amazing! You add in enough to make it look the color of a light chocolate milk... Try it n let me know how you like it!
    Peace out...Lexie!

The best fruits to mix with cottage cheese (for me anyways) is fresh pineapple diced or fresh nectarines/peaches diced. Rasberries and blackberries can be good too.

So far Breakstone Cottage Cheese w/2% fat tastes the best of all low fat cottage cheeses if you eat it plain (it's fine that way too). However even the regular cottage cheese varieties are not high in fat. Fat free varieties don't taste as good and probably aren't worth the sacrifice in taste since the amount of fat in other varieties is low to begin with.

Eck, splenda. Probably healthier to use plain sugar unless one has a major diabetic problem.
