Got acne or the scars left from it? I've got a cure!

Hey guys. First off, I realize how psychologically taxing dealing with bad acne can be..in fact, I've had to put up with it for the last 9 or so months, and it really sucks. This led to me going on accutane...and yes, accutane cured the acne, but it didn't help at all with the scarring that occured afterwards. I was looking around and found the following homemade recipe for a topical toner:

    1 cup APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
    1 cup GREEN TEA
    1 crushed up aspirin

Mix that all up and put it in a container or spray bottle...

I use it as a toner after I wash my face before I go to bed...and it's worked great! After only a few uses, my red marks(scars) are fading and my skin is looking good. This stuff is a godsend! If you have plain old acne and aren't/didn't use accutane, this apparently helps clear up existing acne also. If you're struggling with acne/scars, give this a try. You won't be disappointed!

Hmm, seems too good to be true to mix up some typical around-the-house ingredients. Placebo effect possibly? I know alot of home remedies do this...Anyone else heard of this?

I think I might try this for "bacne" I've gotten since this hot weather started.

You can get Apple cider vinegar for like $2 at GNC. It's suppose to give you energy if you drink it.

For topical stuff try getting a perscription for Clindoxyl...its a type of gel that anti bacterial. I am pretty sure it contains clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide. I had fairly bad acne and after accutane (no more for me thanks) I tried this stuff and IMO works amazing! Just a nightly thing to keep your skin bacteria free but really helps with scaring and redness also.

That ACV stuff works! My scars are fading and my skin is slowly returning to where it was a year ago.

Apple cider vinegar worked really well on my bacne over the winter. It was all gone in like a week. I'd put the acv onto my back for about 10 minutes before a shower then wash it all off. Smells terrible tho.

I'm going to give this a try. I have Tetricyclene for an oral treatment but have been looking for a topical to go with it. I was in a wedding last weekend and after sweating it out all day long I was left with a horrible breakout all over my neck and shoulders. The summer sweat is killing my skin right now.

Stand there for a few minutes, then pace back and forth a lot, huff and puff, wait until everybody's looking. Approach the bar. Back off. Approach it again. Back off. Get some water. Chalk up. Approach the bar again. Then spray some more chalk around. Wait until people start losing interest. When nobody's looking, pick it a little off the floor, and slam it down. Jump up and yell "LIGHT WEIGHT BABY". Then give high fives all around. - Belial

Hm I might have to try this.. my acne isn't bad but it's annoying.

My problem is I always pick stuff up and then become lazy in actually using it on a regular basis. I tend to never really WASH my face, I just soap it up with everything else in the shower.

I've been dealing with acne on and off (mostly on) for nearly a decade. I'll have to try this sometime soon.

Where do you get Apple cider vinegar?

For the green tea, do you just make a cup of tea (with a tea bag) and put that in the spray bottle?

You only put it on at night? I don't want to reek during the day!

If this works I will worship you as a god.

You can get Apple Cider Vinegar at any grocery store in the salad dressing aisle. And yeah, just make a hot cup of green tea then mix it with a cup of Apple Cider Vinegar w/ the aspirin. When you get acclimated to the ratio you can work your way up to a higher concentration of ACV.
Also, I would suggest you put it on in the morning and at night. You may notice an initial breakout, but that should calm down after a few days and then start working. Chances are you won't have any initial breakout, but it's possible.

What about getting rid of the acne first? This damn summer heat is also making my forehead break out, and the old anti bacterial soap and luffa pad just doesn't seem to be doing anything.

I wanted to see about trying to accutane, but Ive heard it has pretty bad side effects, like rectal bleeding, depression and all sorts of other goodies

I am currently on my third month of accutane and at times it can be a bitch, but it totally cleared my acne, now I just have to get rid of some of the scars!
