Carbs vs. Impact Carbs in Fitday

Question.. lots of food now advertises "Impact carbs" .. but when you look at the label it has 30g carbs but only 3g Impact carbs with suger alcohol 27g. How should I track these on Fitday.. is it still 30g carbs or 3g?

    Thanks,
    Hawk

Sugar alcohols still elicit an insulin response. This whole concept of impact carbs is a con. It's 30g.

Having said that, polyols typically have about 2 calories per gram compared to the usual 4 calories per gram for sugars.
