Hey guys could you tell me if you feel that this a correct squat movement I can use. This video really simplifies it for me but I still trust your opinions the best.

That's a great video - it looks like an NSCA video, but I'm not sure.
The only thing that I would add/change about it is that the squatter's elbows are not pointing to the ground at the bottom of the movement as they should.
A child does not learn to squat from the top down. In other words, he does not suddenly make a conscious decision one day to squat. Actually, he is squatting one day and make the conscious decision to stand. Squatting precedes standing in the developmental sequence. This is the way a child's brain learns to use the body as the child develops movement patterns. Therefore, a child is probably crawling, rocks back into a squatting position with the back completely relaxed and the hips completely flexed, and stands when he has enough hip strength. This approach makes a lot of sense and can be applied to relearning the deep squat movement if it is lost. -Gray Cook

Well I'm really happy you figured out what I was trying to ask. You are half way there now if you could just answer it that would be great.
Thanks Sensei. I really trust your input, I've read your posts and seen your squating video, I really appreciate you taking the time. Now its time to get over my squatophobia.
He's got quite a bit of forward lean. I'd actually like to see his torso stay a little more vertical... like in line with his shins. At that angle, the weight is over the balls of his feet instead of over his heals.
Stephen Antel, NESTA-PFT
That's a lot of forward lean... for his structure and technique, he's forced to lean that far forward. That'll build some strong glutes and lower back though. I wouldn't squat like that to emphasize the legs, but to each his own.
He's not leaning over that much guys.
Fuck, fight, or hold the light.
I don't think it's physically possible for him to lean any farther forward and maintain that bar on his shoulders...
Pretty good, a little too much forward lean too early in the movement and it appears he's more on his toes at the bottom but better than 90% of the people I see at my gym.
That's a picture of Scarlett Johansson.
Hi,
That's actually my video. I agree the chest could be a little more out to take away some of the forward lean. The video was given to me by my former college football strength coach, who has sense went on to Oregon State. When training for the NFL combines we were taught to drive with our heals more than our toes, like Vapour Trails mentioned. Annnd unfortunately the clear plates are for form videos only and they really only weigh about a pound or two, sorry guys!
