So 1 arm bent over dumbbell rows or barbell rows? which is your exersize of choice and why?
BB. DB's normally don't go heavy enough.

I tried 1-arm dumbell rows for a while but never felt my back was getting a good workout. Barbell is the way to go, just a shame my gym doesn't a T-bar or anything of the sort.
Barbell. DB rows always felt... awkward. I'm not sure what it is, but I never liked them.

BB, T-Bar, DB...in that order...mainly for the reason that cphafner mentioned
I like the range of motion more with DBs (and my gym has DBs up to 150)
The only type of row I've done recently is T-bar though

Underhand BB rows are my favorite followed by DB rows.

Pendlay rows or t-bar rows. I don't think I've used dumbbells for any exercises for quite some time. I used to do DB Bench, but since I decided to get a power rack/bench at home next month, I decided I might as well adjust to using a barbell again.
I agree with KingWilder, i like the range of motion you get with the DB's
I do it all. I don't have a set thing I do. I just change it almost every workout. I do DB rows, BB rows, cable rows, and my dad's buying a T-bar to add to our home gym, so I'll be using that too.
Currently:
age: 15
height:5'8.5"
weight: 143
bench: 185
squat: 225x15
Goals by January '08:
weight: 145-150
bench: 210
squat: 250x10
both are great exercises but i prefer DBs because i have a hard time doing bb rows on back day after deadlifting
I like em all, and for different reasons. CSR are awesome because they don't take much time to set-up, just toss some plates on, bang out some sets, and you're done. BB Rows are great because most people can do more weight on them. DB Rows are great too, but usually when I get heavier on them, my form goes to s***. I'd say do them all. They all have various benefits.
do DB rows hurt anyone elses back?

BB Rows and T-Bar Rows. DB's (at least at my gym) don't go heavy enough. Heavy BB rows help work the grip better, too.

Dumbbells all the way, better range of motion, more stabilizers required and I feel it more at the top of the motion which I can't get with a bar (unless cambered) and I have adjustable dumbs that go up to 180#
DB and T-Bar row for me. I've always hated BB rows.
Shoulda made this a poll.
