Sweaty armpits
Does anyone have really sweaty armpits like all the time? Cuz I do and I seriously hate it.
I haven't tried wearing an extra shirt because I am hot-natured I guess you could say. I burn up when everyone else is freezing lol. But the other day I wore an underarmor shirt (its kinda old.. I wear it for football games) and I sweated so much it soaked through it and started getting my shirt wet. :/ Just wondering if there is any way to kinda stop this so much.. |

Men are supposed to be hairy, and sweaty. You show off those pit stains with pride
On a side note, I've never really bothered. I'm hairy, therefore I sweat |

Do you trim? That seems to help a lot. Plus, nobody digs the Buckwheat in a headlock look.
In addition, I've found Mitchum to be quite effective.

Thanks for all of your useful posts. No I do not trim my armpit hairs.
But I'll take a look at the drug store this weekend. Also, I don't care if I sweat, but it just seems like my armpits sweat so damn much... Its like my armpits took a shower and got my shirt all wet :/ Thanks all! |

I went to the doc dude, they gave me something and it stopped it for good. Don't worry about it, unless it is really bad like mine was, then I advise going to a dermatologist. They can help you out easily.

Drysol. I suffered with over active sweat glands in my arm pits my whole teenage life. It's embarrassing to always have huge sweat rings under your arm pits. I used Drysol when I was around 20 years old and haven't had problems since (I'm 38 now). I had to use it for a few weeks, and it burned my pits because I have sensitive skin but was well worth the pain in the long run.

Drysol is a liquid underarm product you can get from your local pharmacy. You don't have to have a prescription for it but you do have to ask the pharmacist for it. If I'm not mistaken, it's a heavy duty dose of aluminum chloride. Drysol is applied at night time to the underarms (or any area that has excessive sweating) and washed off in the morning after you wake up. There may be other products out there that are the same formula with a different name.
Here is a link to a medical facts page about Drysol: http://www.drugs.com/mtm/drysol-topical.html Last edited by jefflance1; 11-05-2009 at 02:39 PM.. |

I'm new to this forum, but I'm trying to get bigger the healthy way. Aluminum is the one of the last thing you want to put in your body. If you put it on your skin, your body's largest organ, it absorbs it. Do yourself a favor and make sure you buy aluminum free products.
Some people sweat more than others. Do you know the reason you are sweating so much? Warm? Stress? Nerves? |

wanted to confirm that a lot of armpit hair will definitely increase sweating. i usually trim mine to a no guard level with clippers and my sweating/BO drops to nearly nothing.

Some people do suffer from a medical condition called hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating). If you haven't had this problem then you can't understand the embarrassment brought on by it. Personally, I was tired of ruining all my shirts with sweat stains and constantly having large sweat rings around my arm pits. Aluminum chloride hexahydrate is like any other pharmaceutical product, it can be used without detriment to the individual and the decision to use it should be left up to the person suffering with the condition. People can always say they would never use something as long as they don't need it, but put in the position of needing to rectify a problem changes our whole perspective on a product.
