Building a Monster Upper Back

A huge and thick upper back is the hallmark of the alpha strength athlete. Only those with the fortitude and will to train with the requisite intensity will achieve the kind of upper back that literally intimidates and inspires awe in all who see it.

If you truly want the biggest and strongest back possible, it is necessary to combine the best of both the powerlifting and bodybuilding worlds!

So apparently people have been asking about me ;)

Why hello WBB, it has been, good lord... 2 years since I was last an active member on this forum... Lucas has been telling me that some of the other old fogeys have been telling him to tell me to come back and I really dont see why I dont... It wont hurt anyways, give me something else to occupy myself with at work!

Sooo, I have been powerlifting and was a champion in the 3 lift and reserve in the bench press at last years nationals. Though this year I will not be attending because *drum roll* Im getting married! Thats right, Deeder and I are *finally* getting married next Christmas after a 6 year dating period Anyways, we decided that we would put the money from nationals towards our wedding instead, as Quebec is not exactly *cheap* by any means! However, despite my win nationals was not a good meet for me, I bulged a disk in my neck (C6-C7 for the fellow body nerds out there) during the bench press and there was some pretty bad nerve impingement. I completed the competition, and benched a few days later, and then took about four months off from training, then did about a two month rehab period where I hammered my upper back. I am aware that it was my stupidity that did it, as I was lazy and neglected my back work, and so have been doubly paranoid about it since. My knee was pretty good, and is mostly healed (or rather, is as healed as it likely will be) so that is a problem I am happy to say that I am dealing with.

I have been doing lots of photography, as my lovely fiance just bought me a totally amazing DSLR! So that is most of what my outside of work time is, since I am a massive nerd. LoL! Deeder and I have had a busy year complete with 2 dogs, 2 cats and a new house... So expect to hear lots of chatting about puppies since I love them very much.

So yes, Hello all, I am back and will be poking my head around the forums a lot.

There are some. I've noticed quite a few members have left to never return though. Gyno Rhino, Praetorian, Built (then again maybe she just doesn't hang out in the General Chat area where I hang out), Organichu, etc.

Also a year or so ago TwiloMike passed away. He was with on an outing with his friends and family and went for a swim in some river/stream (maybe it was a lake, I'm not sure) and drowned. RIP he was always one of the nicest guys on here.

Anyway it's nice to see you and Deeder are finally getting hitched. Congratulations! And I hope your back gets better.

Welcome back to the forums guys. Congrats on getting married too! Thats wicked. It was good to meet both of you at CPU nationals 2 years ago even though it was brief. I'm sure we'll cross paths again sometime through powerlifting.

I got a buddy whos looking for some people to train with in SK. I think he said he's near lethbridge or something like that? I'll send you guys a message on facebook later on.

Congrats on getting married, wish you both the best. Yeah as others have said, it isn't quite the same around here anymore, although there is still some great threads and information passed around.

Oh, hell. I remember you.

There was a massive rift a while back and a whole bunch of old timers ended up getting themselves banned.

Not that I was ever a key member back in 04-06, but after I took a couple of years away it was very weird to come back and see so many old faces banned.

That would actually have been a truthful answer to her question more than questioning moderator actions.

Everyone's so damn hypersensitive.
Other posts have been asking why. If members have been banned they have done something to earn that ban. This thread isn't to rehash that, but to welcome back an old member. Let's leave it there.

Actually, I told her to start posting again so we could do some detective work and get to the root of this whole "moderator" issue.

It seems there is at least 1 of these "moderators" in every sub-forum making sure everyone follows the "rules" and "guidelines". In my opinion it's a massive conspiracy. Given the fact that there are more of these "moderators" than there used to be their power must be growing. Indeed if we do not control these vBulletin bandits we will surely all lose our membership in the future.

REVOLUTION!!!!

God that really is truly shocking I never knew, I was wondering the other day where he had gone, he had a great sense of humour and will be missed.
