Just bought a M17x (and haggled it)

I went to alienware.com quoted a m17x with all the options I want, and the price came out to $2,650

I got it out the door for $2,271 you gotta love the haggle! Dell rep impressed me. Went on there got him to quote it up and he went "So your goign buy today" I went "nah i'll wait" and we haggled and went up and down for about an hour and I ended up agreeing to $2,271

What a steal, never haggled for a BRAND NEW computer before.

I had to pay tax, no biggie!

If it's refurb they have to disclose it and that would mean a lawsuit

no he means you would pay dramatically less w/ a refurb which carry the same warranty in most cases.

should have built your own computer, cancel that purchase if there is still time.

edit: i see that M17x is a laptop. never mind then.. i dont know how to build laptops.

Oh, it's a latop.

I was wondering how in the hell you spend over 2K on a computer, even an Alienware system.

Not a bad deal at all, I have a 4870 and it's a really good card, I'm curious as how they got that thing into a laptop, it runs hot as hell.

I got no idea, but I'm buying a laptop cooler.

And no I wouldn't ever buy a desktop system pre-built they take 30-45 mnutes to put together and you save hundreds of dollars.

A nice big beautiful laptop with a even better HD screen 1200P!

Lucky bastard. I've had nothing but laptops for the last 6 years and none of them have been able to run any good games. Later on will you be able to replace the Video Card when it no longer does the job or is it in there for good?

I would look around because of the price. A couple of years ago I bought a xps gaming laptop for about $1000. The original owner paid almost 4000.....and the laptop came with complete care for 2 years when I purchased it.............Search around before paying full price.

Your right I could of, but as I told my friend

Some poeple spend a lot of parties, some poeple spend a lot on women, some people spend a lot on cars, some people don't spend on anything, I buy computers.

Seriously I've rarely ever done "medicore" with PCs, its my one passion that I spend $$$ on it. You will not see me with a nice car, motorcycle, house, but I'll have the fastest internet that I can get ahold of and a great PC.

And yes I was surprised with haggling with dell. Never done it before
