Natural Test boosters

What are some natural testosterone boosters? I have tried Tribulus and didn't really see a big difference. What about something like DHEA or anything else? What are some other good natural stuff out there?

Herbal hormone precussors in general are not very effective; if you want increased hormone levels then you can change your lifestyle (diet/sleep/training) or supplement with synthetic hormones (HRT).

Chances are that your levels are probably OK but there could be other factors such as high bodyfat, stress levels, or restrictive diets that are effecting your hormone levels. I would try supplementing with ZMA (for better sleep), lowering your bodyfat, and increasing dietary fat intake. If that does not work then you can speak with your physician about treatment options.

Have you ever had your hormone levels tested?

No I've never had my hormone levels tested. I don't have any decrease in sex drive so I don't think it's low or anything. I've cleaned my diet and have gone from 260 down to 220 and gotten stronger, I started doing a little hypertrophy work before I started my training cycle for my meet and I weigh 226 at the moment. I was just wondering if there was anything natural out there to help me along the way, without having to resort to steroids.

Having a good quality creatine and protein shake can make a big difference. Beta-alanine works well as a lactic acid buffer and is another worthwhile product.

Anything that claims to impact hormone levels is either going to be ineffective or come with a lot of side effects. If you had low hormone levels due to a medical condition then HRT would be the safest and most effective route.

A lot of people overlook how important the right diet is as well. I constantly see guys loading up on AAS (steroids) and other products instead of simply making some lifestyle changes to get lasting results.

I've made lots of changes in my diet when I was dropping the weight and even still do now. Lot's of grilled and baked meats, veges, fruits and other stuff. I also take Whey Protein, Creatine, Vit/Min's.

I don't believe I have low hormone levels. I was just looking for that extra edge. But I get what your saying about it either being crap or having side effects. I will stick to the good foods and hard training.

Make sure you are getting in enough fat too. Long periods of low fat dieting can hurt levels of all kinds of hormones.
