Purple-K

I stopped by a sport supplement store yesterday, and the guy at the desk recommended me to use creatine pills, called Purple-K. I'm having doubts right now if I should trust such a supplement (check the link below for info). Before I go back and spend 35 dollars on the product, could I get your point of view on creatine pills, as well as purple-k itself. How do they compare to creatine powder? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

just stick with plain creatine mono and mix it with dextrose...save you money

what they are saying about creatine being unstable in water is true but i dont think its turned to waste oncethe creatine comes in contact with water. if that was true no creatine would work, because isnt there water in your stomach.

ONe easy way to solve this problem... Just pour the creatine in your mouth than wash it down with your beverage of choice..

Kre-alkalyn isnt too bad but there has not been any stand out studies that has swayed me to go buy it just yet..

I tried a bottle, it wasnt anything special. The guy in the store recommended it because it's a new product and all types of nutrition stores are stocking up on it... I was recommended it by a few places too. I ended up going back to Monohydrate after that Purple K.
U should do a search too, theres a bunch of threads on Purple K, you might pull out some good stuff.

If you're going to use supplements I'd suggested just buying the cheapest stuff you can find. $ 35 is a ton to spend on creatine.
Buy cheap stuff, it's good and cheap... which makes it even better.

Yes, creatine DOES become unstable in water, its half-life is something like 5 minutes in water (aka it becomes half as effective 5 minutes after contact with water) basically just means you need to down the creatine as quickly as possible whenever you take it.

Okay, thanks for the help. I did some research, and obtained a lot of negative results. I even found a thread concerning purple-k in these forums. Supposedly they cause pimples, which I don't need, since I'm in the process of losing my current ones. I'll just stick to my plain creatine monohydrate powder. Do you guys have any personal experience with Prolab creatine monohydrate? I can't see any immediate results, but maybe that's because I only used 1/4 of the bottle.

On non-workout days, what time is best for taking creatine?

here is my current creatine.

I've used Monohydrate for some time. It's cheap and it works. Theres a creatine guide at the top of this forum, also there tonnes of info on how to use it. Everyone will have something different to say about using it.

thats my point. i dont understand how a pill form would be any better then powder unless you have trouble taking the creatine with in 5 to 10 mins of mixing it(although i dont see why it would take you that long to drink it)....i was just pointing out the fact that creatine powder is not turned to wast as soon as its mixed, much like the ad trys to clam
