Anyone used a weight gainer with Zero results?

Just curious. I have been using Muscle Juice for about 4 weeks now, and the weigh scale hasnt moved a pound. lol

Anyone else seen this?

I typically eat between 3200-3500cals to maintain @ 182-185lbs.

So with the muscle juice i'm taking in about 4250-4550 cals

If you're not gaining weight, eat more calories.

Contrary to what some might believe, the name weight gainer does not mean that you will automatically become hyyooooooge because you're taking it. A weight gainer is a bunch of calories in a bottle. They typically consist of protein and a buttload of carbs. Some may throw extra supplements in there to make you feel better about your purchase, but when it comes down to it, all you are buying is protein and carbs, and maybe some fat.

Not "seeing results"? Means you aren't eating enough, plain and simple. Have heard some people say "but I'm taking a weight gainer!" All I can reply with is "so?" If I named a supplement instant muscle juice and threw protein and carbs in it, does it mean you will automatically gain weight? Depends. If the addition of those calories puts you over maintenance, then congrats, you'll probably gain weight. If not, then the calories you added aren't enough and you should add more.

I'm getting repetitive, but you get the point, hehe.

Gainer shakes are a good supplement to a good diet. I take one a day to help me reach my calorie needs. It is easier to drink a 900 calories shake than have another 900 calories of solid food when taking in 4k+ calories a day.

I lose weight when taking a weight gainer, when DIETING.

Total calories cause weight changes, not one meal, which is what a weight gainer is.

Your not tracking cals accurately.

1) Track cals accurately
2) Increase cals each week until you start gaining

Weight gainers are only good if you cannot physically eat anymore in one day. I mean, take a sample.

5 bowls of cereal + 8 egg and tomato ommlette
1lbs tuna and salad
1lbs rump steak and veggies
meal 4
meal 5
meal 6
etc.

The liquid cals are the easy extra bit to get down, it should go down after the building blocks are laid Try using your weightgainer as pre and post workout nutrition, with your post shake being mixed with dextrose and what everelse you prefer to supplement

My weightgainer is food. I eat enough of it to gain weight.

If you are eating solid and liquid calories and not gaining weight, guess what your are not taking in enough. As has been said manytimes on the thread already, eat or drink more calories.

Just out of curiosity what does fitday say your daily cal intake is? At 185 you should be taking in around 3300-4000 calsories per day to gain. When you get the fitday number add 500-1000 calories per day and you should be set.

All the delicious foods you could be eating, instead you take in weight gainers...

I just don't understand it.

gawd are we dumb?

You didn't gain because you weren't eating enough in the first place.

PERIOD.

You will gain (on anything) once you eat over, not because a product is a weight gainer

There are some folks in here that eat over 10,000 plus calories. You just need to gradually up your caloric intake until you start seeing gains again.
