The problem is that i want to gain weight but know nothing about supplements. My questions are, what brand of weight gain supplement is best to get and is there any other supplement im supposed to take with the weight gain? Thanks.

You don't need supplements. You need to EAT. A LOT. Eating excess calories is the only way you're going to pack on the pounds. That plus heavy lifting and you're good to go.

At 16 all you need to do is EAT. Seriously.

Eat all you can. Eat Eat Eat. Go visit the diet and nutrition forum. Your answer is not in a bottle. Its on a plate and in a bowl.

Hey man, yeah you need a good weight gainer. N-Large has always helped me. Sure you can put on mass by eating and eating, but who can be bothered eating 7-8 times a day everyday. Sometimes you just dont have the time to be cooking food, 4 decent meals and 3-4 weight shakes is the key. Hey man look into purchasing some Creatine, the newbie gains are great, when I started using that i put on about 10lbs of mass straight away and it really helped my workouts. I ate a ****load of that stuff.

Well I drank it. When I first started out this big bodybuilder guy at my gym was telling me to get my ass on creatine as it would pack on some quick pounds, you know the whole newbie gains. He instructed me to drink 1 spoonful 1hour prior to training and then another one 20mins prior to training and yet another one straight after my workout. Obviously I was training pretty intense to but yeah I put on roughly 10lbs while using it.

Creatine doesn't put weight on you - that's what food does.

You drank creatine? Creatine is a tasteless white powder.

Do you mean you put it in your shakes?

Creatine helps keep your energy levels up, which helps you last longer while working out. Calories allowed you to gain 10 pounds. Calories = Muscles.

Nope the first 2 servings I drank in a normal glass of water but the second one I put in a shake. Well Creatine does help you put on weight.

Creatine helps you you maintain higher levels of energy during workout sessions. It does nothing to add weight. Calories puts on weight.

Well creatine does promote water retention in your body, so a small part of what you gain is down to that. So when you get off it some of the weight will go aswell. To be honest my diet was terrible back then but I still managed to gain roughly a solid 10lbs and I looked fuller overall.

Creatine is worth every penny in my opinion!

Creatine might put a few pounds of water on you, but it does NOT put weight on you. Muscles. Funny thing, but they aren't made out of air. Not made out of a few tablespoons of magic powder either.

Well it actually does help you put on muscle. Why else would we use it? It's gives u more energy to work harder and creatine is vital to the body.

Junk food and chocolate gives you pimples. That's why you see all the fat kids with pimpels lol. Creatine won't give you pimpels. That would mean red meats & fish would also give you pimples as creatine is in those foods.

I didn't say it doesn't help you put on muscle. I said it doesn't put on WEIGHT. Which is true. It doesn't even put on water-weight - that part requires WATER.

As I understand these things, creatine shoves more water into your muscle cells (hence the water weight) and helps them work better.

Eat more food, you'll gain weight.

Eat more food, lift, you'll gain muscle as part of that weight.

Take creatine, eat more food, and lift, and you'll partition a little better toward muscle.

I never got any acne from supplemental creatine.

And our bodies make creatine - we're animals.

That can be a factor, but that isn't the only reason. And it can also not be a reason at all. There are hormones, among other things, that also play a role. Chocolate won't give you pimples if you don't get a reaction from it.
