Testicles
Has anyone heard of this testicle problem whereby a person has some big, visible veins around it? (both of them)
I have realised this problem quite a while back, where both my testicles seemed to be surrounded by some big fat veins that can be compress around, and apparently very big. Those veins basically surrounded my balls. Even more visible when I seat. Naturally I was scared as hell, and saw a few doctors. The final doctor said this 'illness' occurred to about 1 outta every 10 men (not sure is he right though), and mine is consider mild already (even though I have no idea how can that be called mild). He also said that this is nothing to be worried about and it's not hernia. I'll be going for another routine checkup in about 1 month later. Just wondering, ever heard of such a wierdass testicle prob before? Hope that didn't gross out anyone. |

Sounds like varicoceles. Just varicose veins of the veins draining the testicles. They won't jeopardize your nads. What can happen is that they can cause discomfort from being so large that they get pressed on. It's also theoretically possible that they could clot off. Unless every vein to one testicle clotted off you wouldn't have to worry about infarction of the testicle. If they are bothersome they can be surgically removed on an outpatient basis. If you don't have a hernia a small incision is usually made on the side of the scrotum. If you have a hernia the testicle can be pulled out of the scrotum into the area of the inguinal hernia repair and dealt with, without an incision on the scrotum. ... Relax, the surgery's not as bad as you would think it is.

I wouldnt worry about it. If it is a verocicile, I would get it fixed though. If it was something serious, im sure the doctor would have you taking all kinds of tests.

I see...
However, may I ask how should I get rid of that uncomfortable feeling mentally? I mean...heck, it's sucha visible and big veins around my testicles, I can feel and see it so obviously. In the future if I'm fooling with my girlfriend it might scare the crap outta her. Damn... One more question, since it is basically veins SURROUNDING the testis, how is it be safe being removed harmlessly? BTW, my doc said this MIGHT cuz my sperm to be less fertile, but it's a fixable prob. |
