So I experimented with chains last week today. My normal deadlift sets, after a warmup, go like this:
5 x 275
5 x 285
5 x 300
Well last week I added chains to the first lift. Two 14lb chains. I'm not really going to speculate on what kind of weight that added to the lift, but I understand I very most likely went over my previous max of 300.
After the workout I was completely obliterated. More beatup than ever before, evar.
Was it simply that I lifted over my max? Or is it something about the chains?
