The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Silly question?

Hi i am new to weight training and just wanted to ask something. When you conduct a workout of say Bench Press, inclided Abs and couple of dumbell excercises for the chest the next day you wake up your muscle are aching. I know i should rest the next day but what if they still ache and i come back to having to work those muscles, is it to be avoided until not feeling any pain?

Sorry for double post dunno how it happened ????

The soreness is called DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscular Soreness). A search on DOMS will tell you much.

It's normal, especially for beginners. How often are you working your chest?

No problem at all man. If you want MY answer to your question, I would say go ahead and work out as long as the soreness is minor. DOMS is not an indicator of anything really. If you're debilitated from the discomfort or feel like its more of a tendon-soreness then rest.

    Happy learning!
