Just wanted to say Hi. I'm 18, 6'2", 220lbs ~14% BF ( according to those digital scales). Looking forward to chatting with you all and getting some help here.
My goal is 8 % .. that means that I have to lose 15lbs of fat, if my math is good (while maintaining and hopefully even increasing a bit of muscle mass). This will get me at 205lbs... I'm hoping to do this in three - four months (5lbs/month + maintenance)
I just got a treadmill the other day (Schwinn 6150 ) and I'm planning on starting a cardio program. What do you recommend as far as something that will aid reducing my BF % and getting leaner ?
Thanks a lot..!
First thing welcome aboard.
Second.....do you plan on useing a weight training program as part of your quest to loose weight?

Welcome to the board man. Well first thing is Diet, once you got that down, your cardio should consist of 1 hour on your non-weight training days. When I was cutting I got great results by running for distance two days/week and sprinting on the third. Worked pretty well, just a matter of personal preference. Jump rope is good too, along with boxing is a GREAT cardio vascular workout.. If you get bored with running of course , good luck..
I find a 20 minute walk, on an incline at 4.5MPH, 5 days a week accompanied by a 40-60 minute work-out is working great for me.
Welcome aboard man.
