    Cutting then bulking

    Why people bulk up then cut.What is the purpose of this gain then loose.

    The idea is to shed fat and keep most of the muscle you gained. Staying as lean as possible while bulking will make sure you don't have to go through lengthy cuts and will just make you look better all year round.

    five cents

    Bulk first, if you have less than 25% bodyfat,
    than cut with winnie (stanozolol)

    If you have 25-30BF, cut with winnie and clen,
    you will not loose weight, just fat...(work cardio, eat max. 2000 kalories..)

    How much you want to gain or loose ?

    Thats awful advice. Everyone gains a bit of fat on a bulk so you then go into a calory deficit (cut) to lose fat while maintaining a heavy training routine to maintain your hard earned mass. And Tommy M, winstrol doesnt strip fat off you. Next time dont recommend drugs when someones asking a simple question. There is a forum for discussing that stuff.

    I used to cut and bulk so I could be a little larger and have the benefits of being leaner. However, now I feel that I don't really want to do that much anymore. It's not beneficial for me. My asthma kicks in when I start to weight more than 220 lbs and as a result some stuff just isn't as fun when that kicks in.

    I have asthma too, and a hole in my heart. Can be a pain in the ass, especially in summer

    Eat 'clean' food. Don't get all your cals from fast food, pizza, chips, etc. Cardio wouldn't hurt either.


    As for the person who suggested:

    A) bulking if your in the 20% bf range

    and

    B) using winny to cut

    Well going by my own experience, I've started to do cardio 2-3 times per week while bulking or cutting. Does it help with leaner gains? I'm not sure yet, although it's looking like that so far. I haven't experimented enough to say this for sure, and I certainly can't say that it would promote leaner gains for everyone. I'd be better able to answer that in 2-3 months.

    Also, by staying as lean as possible, I mean to try and avoid eating 1500 calories over maintenance, and make most of your diet consist of foods that are considered "good" in the bodybuilding community.

    Everything you do adds up. Each piece is a small part of the puzzle, but the overall product (your physique and your general health) will be a combination of your lifestyle, diet, cardio, routine, sleep, and genetics. Try and make each piece count as much as possible.

    Eat at 20% over maintenance and keep your diet consisting of clean natural foods like wholegrain products and dairy.

    That should be a simple answer.

    Try to limit carbohydrates to pre and post workout meals. The rest of the day, stay with protein and fat as a ratio when you get your caloric surplus. If you eat more fat and less carbs during the day, your body will be more likely to burn fat for energy. And of course, carbs are easily stored as fat when you have even some excess...so it makes sense to limit them except for your workouts.

    some of these posts are hurting my head

    the lower you increase your calories over maintenance the better chance you have at putting on quality mass (will you still put on some fat?..obviously) It'll be a long and slow process, but it definitely beats hardcore bulking for 4 months and then cutting for another 3-4

    I'd rather slowly bulk for 6 months and spend 2 getting rid of whatever fat I acquired
    5'10", 170lbs, 10% bf
