    pulled my right trap muscle

    kinda wierd.... i've never pulled any trap muscle before but the other day i was workin out shoulders,arms when apparently it happened cuz the next day i could definately feel it (i don't even think i could feel it right away which is strange)

    my workout that day:

    3x8 Cleans with Push Presses
    3x8 Dumbbell side raises

    3x8 Preacher curls
    3x8 Dumbell curls

    3x8 Skull crushers
    3x8 Close grip bench press

    I'm pretty sure I felt fine after this workout. The next day and today my right trap muscle feels pulled and this has never been the case before. It isn't just sore from working them out hard.

    any ideas?

    Weight: 175lbs
    Body Fat around 12%
    Biceps: 14.5"
    Chest: 38"

    Bench Press: 225 x 10 reps and 275 pounds x 1 rep
    Deadlift: 405 pounds x 1 rep
    Squat: 335 pounds x 3 reps

    I have been trying to stretch it at least... What's the best way to stretch it?

    I'm trying to figure out how I did this

    I would guess the cleans... the explosive pull would likely have done it.

    for cleans i do a light warm up set of 10 reps...

    and ive always worked out that way... is there anything i should change or was it just a strange day?

    Maybe its just a DOMS.

    If its pulled I would avoid working out until its better. Other then leg press and crunches you'll probably feel the pain in pretty much every exercise. From deads to shoulder press. Just take it easy for a week or so.

    ATF squat- 275 RAW
    Deadlift- 415
    Bench- Two 100lbs DB's four times
    190lbs 15% BF (Estimate)

    If you pulled a muscle, you would know it right away; it's not a pleasant feeling. Strained? Maybe.

    (PS: a pulled trap muscle shouldn't affect using the shift key)

    Yeah it's probably just sore or a kink or something. Just take it easy for a week or two. If it's not better by then then I suggest seeing a doc.
