The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Dollars to donuts says he has a lipodystrophy- doesn't have normal distribution/amount of bodyfat. There's no way a prepubescent boy has enough testosterone circulating to have a supernormal amount of muscle mass. He just doesn't have any overlying fat tissue.

Typical Russians man, they're just exploiting him to make it look like they're so superior they are stacked at 6 years old when we're not.

Yes, because we all know we Americans never exploit our children.

I don't think it's an issue of ethnicity or nationality. It's probably just an issue of parenting.

Sure we do, but I mean we're not, at least I haven't seen it, all over TV making our kids out to be some 6 year old Hulk Hogan/Einstein. Who knows maybe he is, but still that's not right exploiting him like that. Bad parents yeah, the Russia part comes from every show i've seen him on the media rambles on about how Russian he is.

Personally I don't see what the big deal is, I know a guy who was just as built that young and his family never exploited him any. BTW he was like that about 20 years ago.

i remember seeing this kid like 5 years ago. They showed on TV how he lifts weights all the time because his dad wants him too. He used to have a huge mullet. This kid is ripped.

    Pretty stupid I think.

He has all of these expectations placed on him to be the most ripped, strongest kid around, and it'll be interesting when he reaches the age where many other guys are also training. When he suddenly becomes the average ripped guy, he's being groomed to either resort to drugs or getting depressed and killing himself. I don't think it's a healthy(mentally) childhood to have at all.

He's screwed...... They tried to make the documentary as positive as possible, but there were a lot of hints dropped as to what was really going on and it was pretty depessing. He's gonna be a basket case later on.

A few things I picked up while watching....
Not allowed out of the house, had no friends, his parents put him on a workout program and schedual when he was 3, has been dieting since he was 3, most of the time he was doing shows he was doing a liquid only diet, father beat the mother (possibly him and his sister as well), made him train 6 hours a day, put "special powders" in his protein drinks, didn't go to school, the family depended on him for their income, a 5 year old isn't capable of having that much testosterone (maybe the "special powders"?), he takes handfulls of supliments everyday ..... none of this sounded healthy mentally or physically for someone 5 years old.

He's gonna be one messed up grown up....

PS... His acting sucked worse than Arnold in Hercules in New York, I'll be surprized if Tiny Tarzan comes out

    Banned from lifting?

Someone please explain how that could even be imagined.

A doctor was on the special I believe - The main focus being on early fusing of growth plates due to the heavy lifting at such a young age, or something to that effect (unsure as I was eating atm). I believe he was banned from the gym until he is at least 16 years of age.

Yeah, I believe a social services judge ordered that he not be allowed to lift weights until he turns 16.
The half-million citizens of the District of Columbia, like citizens of the fifty states, bear all of the obligations of American citizenship: they are required to obey the laws passed by Congress; they pay federal taxes; they serve in the military; and they fight and die in our wars. Yet they lack the most basic right that should accompany American citizenship—the right to full voting representation in Congress. This makes the United States the only nation in the world with a representative, democratic constitution that denies citizens of its capital representation in the national legislature. In fact, no fewer than 183 nations provide their citizens the type of representation citizens of Washington, DC are denied.

What if lifting weights is his own personal choice? If someone told me I wasn't allowed to lift until I was 16 I would be pretty mad, seeing as it's becoming part of my lifestyle now, and I enjoy it.

If I'm not mistaken it was the kids choice this time.....he was not lifting or dieting for the past 2 years. His dad's in jail for beating the mother so I beleive the kid's got more freedom now although he is only 12 and will be scared from his past a long time.
