He had some fairly impressive fighting skills for a little kid from what I saw.

A lot of people are twice the size of this kid at 12. He was impressive when he was younger but he hasn't gotten much bigger. Hopefully he can overcome his troubled childhood and try to knock Coleman off olympia in about ten years.

He was court ordered to not lift weights again till he was 16. He can still lift, just with own body weight. Kind of like what gymnast do. He only took 2 months off his working out and said he was getting pudgy, so he is now trying to get back into shape. His goal is to look BETTER than he did before. His new trainer is awesome. He lives with him mom, sister, and his new manager. He is actually normal size for a 12 year old. Maybe a little on the short side, but that could be genetics. I think he is quite impressive. Mastered Martial Arts by 5 years old. Come on, at 8 he was able to jump up and kick a speed bag that was 5'2'' in the air THREE times in one jump. Bench press 210 lbs at 8 years old and he was 70lbs. He knows his nutrition better then some adult bodybuilders. His diet is ON KEY!!! This kid will be something when he is older, just wait!

I didn't see the special, but I've seen other "specials" and "stories" on Sandrak before, and he wasn't able to communicate or articulate effectively. His teeth looked waaaaay f*cked up in his mouth, as if there was some weird growth going on.

When he was on Howard Stern, he either wasn't allowed to talk, or when he was, he couldn't say sh*t. This was just a couple years ago. Howard kept getting p*ssed at the dad, because he wouldn't let the kid talk. It sounded more like the kid COULDN'T talk, and the dad was trying to cover it up by filling space......which I think Howard *knew*.

His athleticism is (or was) beyond impressive.

In the special it appeared that there was lots of pressure from the father. In the interview I recall the kid claiming that sometimes the father would make him workout for an extra hour-hour and a half on top of the normal time(punishment maybe? :/ ).

sorry for dragging this topic back up again but I wanted to get some more peoples views on this Richard Sandrak guy. I watched the programme about him about a year ago. It was absolutley sick man!! he had like a 12 pac abs. ANd bench pressed 3 times his body weight, and could leg press something ridiculous at that age. (over 200kg im sure)

Not good! Cool or anything. Sick and discusting. His parents deserve to be shot!
Everyone in life deserves to choose their path. Parents can show them the options and its up to the kid to choose. FFS im rele pi**ed off that his parents made him get so fookin obsessed with weight training!
It was horrible to see RIchard saying on a morning "i need more amino acids and creatine so im using this special powder my dad mixed for me". WTF a kid that age should be out playin with friends, getting up to mischief, eating mcdonalds. (having a life). He could have done this aswell as weight training.

i have always had a hard time believing this kid bench. i saw footage of him benching once and it was w/ 3 spotters and assisted. i have never seen footage showing him actually lift 210 clean at 70 lbs, and raw on top of things. i think its speculation because he doesnt hold ne titles or made any records. And also now that he stopped roiding and his dad went 2 jail he doesnt look special, when i was 12 i was lean as hell, i think the only difference between me and him was a tan and alota lies bout how much 1 can bench

Like Chuck Norris I was born full size and have never cried.

...anyway Yea I was a kid that doesn't mean I ate McDonalds and "got into mischief" instead of doing something productive. Not that I am defending this guy or his parents.

yer ok maybe not,. but im was jus generalizing. Especially the bit about *going out with friends* the poor kid didnt have any. Which would and will hinder his social acceptance in later life. Its a shame really.

Someone from our group got pics of him at the Arnold.
Out of the night that covers me,Black as the Pit from pole to pole,I thank whatever gods may be for my unconquerable soul. In The fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance my head is bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears looms but the horror of the shade And yet the menace of the years finds, and shall find, me unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate how charged with punishments the scroll,I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.

I do agree that kids in general need to have a healthy mix of activities, friends, and education. This kid seems to not have that. Maybe he truely loves BB'ing, or maybe his parents encourage him a little to much. O well.

I think encourage is the wrong word. The impression I got from the special was closer to 'demand'.

Sounds like the kid's bones are fusing earlier than normal cause of the 'special powder' his dad gave him. Its really a sad story, I agree he's going to turn to anabolics heavily in the future(if not now?) to try and stay ahead of the pack.
