I am revamping to a new routine! I don't have time to do a lot of research on what is best so I thought I would just post a thread asking for advice from all you very knowledgeable forumites!!
I recently was doing a 5 day split that looked like this:
Day 1: Shoulders
Day 2: Bis/Tris/Abs
Day 3: Legs
Day 4: Back
Day 5: Chest/abs
Each day my workout consisted of 3 supersets for instance on Shoulder days I would do arnold press/front db lateral raises as one superset then db shrugs/bent over side db lateral raises as another and db twisting military and side db lateral raises as another.
I did 3weeks with a 3 sets of 12/10/8 reps with 1min between sets and 3mins between supers. Then I did three weeks of increased intensity with the final week being 5 sets of 12/10/8/8/15 reps with 30 secs between sets and 1min between supers. I have been doing this for about 15wks now with fairly positive results but I am pretty sure this isn't an optimal workout and I want to expirement with something new. I am also switching to the IF protocal diet and was thinking of maybe doing a 3day split with two HIIT days......please let me know what you would suggest...
