    Fruit (juice)

My buddy told me that drinking a thing of high calorie fruit juice is good as a pre workout meal since it is liquid and the sugars get in your body quickly.

    is this true?

is eating straight fruit pretty good too?

or are the sugars from fruits too simple to last as fuel for a 50 minute workout

Here's a couple good threads on fructose. I've used honey with great success preworkout. Most around here would recommend you go with dex or something like that preworkout.

Cranberry juice is so bitter... I can't drink it without it being mixed with OJ or something... I try! But its like drinking a protein shake that hasn't been blended properly... Just can't enjoy the protein goodness while eating pieces of wet dust XDDD

Sugar doesn't "burn" any faster than any other source of carbohydrate.
