Yeah, would be a little weird doin that raw I can imagine. Im not too worried, my squat / deads are both still over 450, safely.

    Yep, felt real quick tonight.

Gotta drive my hips through a little more, looks like I'm a bit short of really completing a few of the reps here and there.

Was frustrating for my grip to give out right before that 10th rep, I felt like I was good for one more. It's all good, I'll kill it next week.

Sigh, I'm printing my FREAKIN program out tonight. I messed up my sets once again. I was supposed to use 370. 390 is next week.

I really need to start paying more attention to the program. Printing out the numbers tonight, this will not happen again, really startin to piss me off.

LOL dumbass. On the good side you look MUCH stronger sumo style. I'm impressed with that 390 being as easy as it was. How's the knee feeling during it? I think this is gonna be a really good switch for you. To bad I won't see you tonight. Maybe Thursday?

Depends what time you guys are lifting THursday.

Tues and Thursday are the only days I have class till 6, so it's tough.

I do think sumo has some potential, Im just worried about it really doin some work on my hips/hammies in the long run since I'm pulling raw. Whats your thoughts on that bro?

    Thanks man, felt good.

THat meet was a great time, and Tone just told me that I'll be doing the APA in Edison instead of the WNPF.

What are your thoughts on sumo vs conventional for a raw lifter? Think sumo might be too much for my hips without briefs?

This was my issue with sumo DL, but I squat pretty wide as it is. My hips just couldnt hang with the double whammy from both wide squats and wide deadlifts.

Yeah, I gotta talk to Tone and ask around. I do feel fast pulling sumo, but if I can have more longevity with conventional then Im gonna stick with that.

How long do you plan on lifting raw? Eventually you'll probably get in gear. I am not telling you never to train conventional, just the opposite, it helps my sumo pulling, but I think that as far as YOUR style, it's Sumo.

Lucky for me...since Im such an idiot and used 390 for Tuesday's deads...Next week I am scheduled for 390 again, so I'll go conventional and see if I can out-rep my sumo set.

    Tonights workout

    Week 2 - Wave 2

    Standing OHP
    135 x 3
    155 x 3
    175 x 10

Seated HS Rows (weight per side)
    70 x 10
    90 x 10
    135 x 5
    180 x 5
    135 x 5
    90 x 10
    70 x 20

    Seated Dips
    x 20
    x 15
    x 9

Done. Wasn't exactly thrilled about the OHP, but I still hit it hard regardless. Killed my back, and ready for some squats tomorrow.

If you can get him to give up a night of getting drunk and chasing dudes then yeah why not?

You should come man it's an awesome time. Great lifting atmosphere and a ton of motivation. That and Tony needs someone to drive down with him.
