My cable pulley system at my Uni is messed up, it feels jerky and so I have dropped doing pulley pulldowns
I do close grip bench press and weighted dips.
What is another good MASS building tricep exercise? French extensions are out of the question.
CG bench and dips will be enough.
If you feel you need more, put more effort in to your work sets.

Weighted dips are definitely awesome. I've only recently started doing them; I can only manage a 50 pound dumbbell under me. I've seen guys doing it with like two 45's on a dip belt though...
Bench press, overhead press, close grip press, dips.
Squats work better than supplements.

Your triceps don't need isolated work. If you're benching, overhead pressing, and doing weighted dips (and you should be), then your tri's will be fine.

Any heavy board presses, db or bb extensions.
I don't do JM press because it always just winds up being an extension, so I stick to that.

then a couple sets of press downs at the end. I also saw the Westside guys doing a weird form of skull crushers/neutral grip db bench. I tried it and it absolutely blasted my tri's.

I find CG bench, weighted dips and either skull crushes or OH tri extensions to be the best. Probably skull crushers if i had to choose though.
And how do the majority of these bodybuilders get so big off such a crappy stimulus? Rather than finding a better stimulus, they simply make their body more receptive to the bad one.
I think what he was trying to say was: If you can not grow from compound exercises then (all other things being equal) you are not likely to grow from isolation exercises. Also (again all other things being equal) compound exercises are more likely to give better results than isolation exercises. Were that not true...we'd all be doing kickbacks and cable extensions.
Yes when you add injury into the mix..then things can change.
Besides the exercises listed above, I'm a big fan of overhead dumbell extensions.
