The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Fat People Not Welcomed in NZ

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main...17/wfat117.xml

If they base everything on BMI, what do BB do?

This will be interesting if the USA goes to universal health care, how will we deal with obese people. We'll have to deport 50% of the population. Or maybe there will be fines on being fat. I am sure that won't cause any discrimination suits.

I've been thinking about it. I'd go somewhere where juice was legal of course.

We could do a huge reality TV show like Man vs. Wild, where the fatties are dropped in the middle of no where and forced to exercise by walking out of the middle of no where and eating basically nothing.

We wouldn't even have to deport the fatties... I'm pretty sure we could probably turn them into some sort of biodiesel and burn them for fuel.
Guess who just solved the obesity "epidemic" and the fossil fuel crisis in one fell swoop?

Ya, maybe we could make a vehicle that burned calories for power. We could lipo all the fatties out and have fat fueling stations. The world would smell like bacon all the time.

Lipo? Nah I was just thinking we could toss them all in a big blender and then render the grease. You could probably even use the leftovers and fuel byproducts to feed the homeless.

New Zealand is fill of over weight people, it use to be that 60% of females were over weight and 40% of males were over weight. I was there a few weeks a ago and I'd say the figures have probably gone up, probably 60% for both males and females.

Being a strong teenager means nothing.

My wrists hurt, but some people don't have wrists to be sore. My knees have tendinitis, but some people don't have legs to get tendinitis in. I seem to be going backwards with training, yet some people can't even walk let alone lift 400 pounds on a daily basis.

Dust out the vagina, and keep on lifting.

I did a persuasive speech on why BF% should be used to measure obesity rather than the BMI...it just doesn't take muscle mass in account.

I think Brad Pitt has a BMI around 29 or 30.

Note that the BMI rating which was the obstacle to this guy getting a visa to live in NZ was in the "morbidly obese" category. And he was able to lose enough weight that he got the visa eventually. I suspect that there aren't too many bodybuilders on here whose BMI is more than 40. At 6'1" that would be more than 301 lb, or at 5'8", 263 lb.

I'd have to do some digging around to find it again (I'm won't because I'm lazy) but it's pretty close to that number due to the fact he has such a low BF % and is pretty fit.

It's not like 29 is crazy high or anything so doubt away.

    EDIT: You're right he's 28
