Didn't know where to post this rly, cuz it's a stupid question and it's related to both diet and weightlifting so I put it here
K, so I was picking up my workout-buddy yesterday before we hit the gym, and his parents had given him a big ass piece of raw meat, which I don't know the english word for. He was biting on it all the way to the gym, and I wanted some too (cuz we know raw meat proteins gotta be good for u), so we brought it inside the gym and took turns on eating the meat and benching etc. Mostly for the lulz.
This is prolly one of the rarest things ever to happen, but rly, are there any downsides to eating WHILE training? I figure some of u who work out in ur garage or basement etc do it, so I just wanted to ask lol.

but seriously, I don't see any downsides, beside the weird factor. Having a snack should be fine if you can't wait until after.

Raw meaning uncooked? Nice buddy, enjoy your tape worms growing inside your intestines.
If you can handle a little snack while lifting, then it should be alright. On heavy deadlift and squat days especially though, your muscles will require a lot of blood pumped into them, and some of that blood may need to leave your digestive tract where it was taking care of food you ate. Just be careful with what and how much you eat with how heavy you are lifting; food that can't be digested is going to come back up.

it wasn't beef jerky, it was a huge lambs leg, only it was smoked, not cooked or grilled or anything. don't know if u smoke things in the us, or even call it that lol. it weighed 3,5 kiloes.
