I am about through with my Opticen and I plan on going to a very low carb diet. When I do this I will be switching to Nitrean. I know the Opticen has some thickening agents to make it more filling but from what I know the Nitrean does not. I do not want to give up the thickness the Opticen has when I switch to the Nitrean, but from what I remember Nitrean is rather watery when mixed up. Any suggestions?
Mix it with natural peanut butter that has no added sugar.
Thanks for the suggestion Chris.
I have been mixing the natty PB in with the Opticen and with some Egg Whites and ice. It almost taste like ice cream I really do not want to give that up but as I said I will be going to extremely low carbs
Cool! A low carb diet is a great way to get in shape!
By the way, get the TNT Diet book if you don't already have it.
Chris' recommendation of natural peanut butter is a good one. Another thickening agent that I sometimes employed when going low-carb was cream cheese. The flavor melds terribly with chocolate, but with vanilla Nitrean cream cheese actually tasted pretty good. With the brands I use, cream cheese actually has slightly fewer carbohydrates, too.

Cream Cheese? I never thought of trying that before. I might just have to give it a try. Thank you.
You can also try heavy whipping cream (not whipped cream). It comes in a carton and you can find it in the dairy section.

I've recently been adding about 1/4 or so of Xanthan gum powder to my shakes. It is a thickening agent commonly used in baking and food products. I've heard you can use Guar gum as well. It doesn't take much to thicken, and adds very little calories if you trying to watch. Carb content is minimal as well.
