    Thanks mac. Got these: http://www.maxbarbell.com/collection...tlifting-shoes

Heard bad things about the newer Rogue oly shoes and these were well-reviewed and cheaper.

Nice! Never heard of that brand but I'll have a look if they're available here in the UK. I was very happy with my Do-wins (felt very stable) and had intended to buy another pair... if they're good enough for the Chinese weight lifting team then they're more than good enough for me!

I had considered switching and trying an Oly Trainer shoe, but eventually just decided to stay with my chucks.

Fuck, fight, or hold the light.

I have Chucks but they are too narrow to be comfortable. These new shoes are wider and feel more stable for me. But I know a lot of people have found lots of success with Chucks.

    Friday's workout 8/22/14

    Bench Press

    135x5
    155x5
    155x5
    165x5
    175x5

WOD - 8 min AMRAP of

2 atlas stone raises (160 lbs, ugh)
    10 KB swings (32 kg I think)
    200m run

Completed 3 rounds and felt like dying at the end. It was all outside, sunny hot humid day.

Tried this at a new gym one of our former coaches is opening soon. It is closer to work for me. I haven't decided if I am going to move over to it though.

Never tried atlas stones... they look like they suck! Good job!

    Thanks Chubz.

    WOD - 5 rounds of
30 seconds hang power snatch (95 lbs)
    30 seconds double unders (LOL)
    30 seconds lateral bar jumps
    30 seconds rest

Total reps were 244. Pretty wiped after this. But wait there's more!

    Front Squat:

    135x2
    185x2x2
    205x2
    225x2
    245x1
    255x2 (2 rep PR)

My previous 1RM on FS was 255. I hit a double and could've done at least one more. Probably could've done 265 for two. Good lifting day despite yet again doing strength after the WOD. Apparently we're done with that shit after this week.
