i joined the navy. i leave march 31. im lookin for a routine that will prepare he the best the get in shape for boot camp. i want to be the best there and am willing to work hard for it. any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

if you want to do well in bootcamp... pt wise just do a lot of pushups, situps, and running.

Get your cardio up to speed. They run the crap out of you in boot camp.

As others here have said, BC is all about endurance. Chins, push-ups, sit-ups and run. Doesnt get more basic.
But also do resistance exercises with similar movements to excel at them more quickly.

I know a kid in boot camp. Or training, whatever.
He can do about 200 push ups. Not kidding...
Sit ups, well he has a six-pack.
Running? He can run a 6 minute mile.
Everything is for me.
What they said about run/pushup/situp. Can you swim? Work on that, too. Talk to your recruiter. He wants you to be successful and will help you hit the ground running (no pun intended).

in my opinion, push-ups and flutter kicks should be primary focus with some time spent on pull ups and running.
You say you want to be the best, but don't go there trying to rock everybody's world and show everyone that you're in better shape than them. The strength of our nation's military is not physical fitness or technology, it's teamwork.

I got a question. I'll be leaving in the Army at the end of 2009, and I know R.I.P., they lose about 30 pounds. Right now i'm 165 or so and I want to bulk as much as I can, hopefully around 190 by the time I graduate which is July 08. Then untill the time I enlist by 09 september i'll be cutting and focusing endurance stuff. Sound good?
I wanted to do the same thing, get in shape, be the best although i wanted to join the army not navy.Ive been lifting for 1 year and soon old enough to join the army but now dont want to join cause id rather lift lol!!
