Whoops was thinking weighted pushups lol. I can do 50lbs over body weight, 225 at 175 body. Not willing to push more because we are not allowed to drop it free. Have to lower the weight.
when I competed strongman years ago I did these instead of bench every week. I got to the point where I coud do 315 for 3 and 330 with a 8 and 10" log. That was at a bw of 225. I weight 250 now and I doubt I could do 300 to save my life.

I figure I can probably do 225 fresh. I can power jerk 225 no problem and I did 190x3 jerk/push press AFTER jerks. so I think 225 it is.

I see the poll wasn't designed for those of us who have not yet reached a 100 lb. push press. At Guido's urging I too do push press in the gym. I'm up to 85 lbs.

I've never tested my push press but I have a pretty terrible military compared to my big 3. Most I've ever done on a good controlled military is prolly around 170 something.

My overhead has always been pretty weak compared to my other lifts. Last summer I got my PP up to 185 but haven't done much to it since. It's a good exercise.

one arm dumbell pushrpess(like they do in the arnold) 115x1...i dont know how i mso strong in this lift i have weak ass legs.
Vincent - that is some awesome pressing power! Very few guys in the world are at that level.
Elitepler - The NAS record was at 330 lbs for LW for a while, so you must have been right there.
My best push press in the gym was 275 lbs for 9 reps, and I did push press 340 lbs one day but was trying to jerk it turned into a push press. Both lifts were done around 220 lbs bodyweight. Much of my focus recently has been on improving my push jerks, so the only push pressing work that I do is with a log.
Thanks Tom. Here is a more recent vid from an APA meet. There was no leg drive allowed. I think trying to use my legs actually screws me up.
I do them, I haven't maxed out in a while though. One of the sets I do is:
Shoulder Press: 1-1-1-1-1
Push Press: 3-3-3-3-3
Push Jerk: 5-5-5-5-5
I usually try to start the PP at whatever weight I ended the SP. I then try to to the same PP to PJ. Needless to say I am usually smoked by the time I hit PJ.
