    Woohoo!! 265 Bench PR!!

    wow i hit a new PR, the highest of my freakin life today guys! i was so jacked... this is taken from my journal :

    todays (fridays) workout was freakin incredible!! i was so on-key with my bench, it was the best i have ever felt in my life. the weight was SO LIGHT today! got new PR of 265 on bench, and i'm jacked! there was also a LOT of volume/sets before my PR, so i think i have 275 in me for next max in about 2 weeks.

    seated DB shoulder press : 40x10, 45 2x10

    bench : 135x8, 155x3, 185x3, 205x3, 225x3, 235x3, 240x3, 255x1, 260x1, 265x1 YEEEEEEHAWWW! i was psyched inside! idk but i think having so much volume before a max helps me to warm up, but it was probably just an extra-good day and i took advantage of it! wooopeee!!
    my PR for bench was 245 about 2 months ago, and i got a new PR of 255 about 3 weeks ago. i weighed at 178 today. hope to crush 275 in 2 weeks! anyone else has any new PR's recently, please share and we can all bask in each others glory!!

    My numbers are the same as yours, except my squat is a little higher and your bench is A LOT higher than mine.

    Ive been hitting consistent PRs for the past few months. I got 160+ on my total in the past 3 months.

    Thanks alot NHL!! yes hopefully i can get 275 and it'll be damn near close to BW+100!!

    BF - +160 on your total in 3 months is INSANE!! what are your big 3 improvement nubmers? damn!

    Bench: 165 --> 215
    Squat: 200 --> 275 (I can do more I feel)
    Deadlift: 300 --> 355 about

    My squat was pathetic, I didnt know how to lift lol. But every week I was hitting some nice PRs. Often I would hit squat and deadlift PRs in the same day haha. Now its slowing down, but damn, I rode that wave good.

    Way too much work if you're looking for a 1RM. You should make a minimum of 10lb jumps. And drop the reps to singles after 205.

    I jsut did 225x12 of a piece of foam that is 1 1/2 inches thick, it compresses some though, I am 6 foot and 165

    great job

    aaah, to be young again, remember, take a couple weeks to back down a little bit, do alot of assistance training but backoff the power movements for 10 days. Thank you'll be ready for another pyramid. You should be able to add another 25lbs to it.

    BF - grats on that crazy progress man!

    Rhode - i didn't plan on maxing that day, but i just felt so good after my 3x3 that i just kept going and going.

    darr - 225x12 is very impressive with or without foam!

    supplement - thanks for the advice, ill remember to take it easy till max week.

    Thanks for all the compliments and encouragement guys!! It'll really help for 275 in a few weeks.

    Rhode (or anyone that knows) - Can you give me what a warmup for maxing would look like, but with a lot of volume? Cause I have tendonitis, and I need to warm up a lot even without that to feel ready to move some heavy weight (just how I am).

    It looks like someone is catching up on some old threads. While it is up here I guess I'll brag about my last PR on bench. I have been stuck at about 335 for 4 months without making much progress, but over the past month and a half or so I have felt really strong and have started making great gains again. Last week I was able to get 370. I was pretty jacked about that. 405 by the end of the year is my goal.

    haha thats funny that aj and bto dug this thing up... i'm at 295 now, but thanks guys best of luck sayagain, thats some heavy weight.
