31% body fat.
My goal is to lose 30 lbs
Lose fat but gain muscle and tone.
And of course be healthier.
I just joined the gym and plan on going 5 days a week.
Please I need suggestions for a workout plan and diet that will help me lose the weight faster.

I'd start by going to www.fitday.com and creating an account so you can keep track of your calories there. Record what you eat and then adjust from there.
As for a workout regimen, you don't need to go to the gym 5 days a week. Start with the basics (squat, deadlift, bench, OH Press, rows, etc.) 3x a week. A sample routine may look like...
OH Press 3x5
Alternate between the two and go Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. After lifting sessions you can do 20 minutes of walking on the treadmill at a slight incline if you wish.
Keep in mind the weight loss will come from your diet. Weight training will help preserve lean body mass (and as a beginner you may gain some). Cardio will create a small calorie deficit, but it's main benefits are for general health.
