    Frustrated...

Heres the thing, I want to gain muscle and lower my body fat percentage. Bulking I cannot do because of goals I have in the near future that require my cardio vascular health to be in top shape. Can someone give me some adivce?

Indeed, but that's the most effective way. I guess I am just looking for encouragement.

Can I lower my BF %, gain muscle, and increase my weight all at the same time? Everytime I try to do this, it seems like I lose weight and become weaker. For example my max bench press went from 285 to 265 last time I tried this.

Don't try to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time. It's possible, but very difficult.

If I were you, I would just do a slow bulk. Like .5-1lbs a week. I don't see how that much weight could have such a negative effect on your cardio vascular health. You can cut after the bulk, but chances are the amount of fat you gain will be very little anyways.

You have to be extremely strict with your diet and routine to gain muscle and lose fat. Body recomposition is very hard. Notorious is right, slow bulk and then cut a few pounds of fat when you fell necessary.

What do bulking and cardio vascular health have to do with each other?

I find that if I do cardio I lose weight instead of gaining. I bulk by eating alot and not doing any cardio, I cut by just doing cardio and eating about the same.

Have you tried bulking but maintaining your conditioning? You don't have to stop doing cardio all together on a bulk. Cut down on it and focus on lifting, and ofcourse eat more.

Try it, and if it doesn't work, than you just need to sort out your priorities and go from there.

    Good luck.

I was going to suggest what Rusty said. Keep running your ass off, but eat enough to gain weight. You might be better off doing smaller bulks, and more of them.

What I did for a while was not eat a whole lot, but I had about 150g of protein/day. I'm sure part of it was newbie gains but I did manage to gain a good amount of strength, about 10lbs, and no fat. (or very very minimal fat)

Once again, could I make gains faster? Yes. Since then I started eating a crapload, a little more protein, and I've gained another 15lbs in less time....and I've gotten stronger.
