The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

A clip from today, 275lb bench...

Just wanted to upload a clip from my training today at TPS (a local, real powerlifting gym). Feel free to comment on my form. This was a heavy single on my way to my 300x1 PR today. Unfortunately, the damn camera died of low batteries in the middle of the 300 lift and it didn't get saved.

The shirt I'm wearing is a lousy Inzer Blast. Given my touching area and press form, what shirt would you recommend? I really want something open back..

    Great job!

I recommend lifting in a blast shirt for a few sessions then going to a Fury based on where you touched. If you decide to go lower get an F6.
Then when you get used to that go on to a Katana or RageX.
I am still using my Fury shirts.

with a arch like that and which appears to be you still learning the shirt, id go with an f6. when the bar descended, it looked like you wanted to tuck your elbows more and bring the bar lower.

heres my sweet spot on the f6 to give you an idea: (my opener)

If you want an open back, I'm going to recommend the RageX in a double ply. Dont waste time learning one shirt, and then learning another, just get your double ply and begin learning how to use it. Also get some wrist wraps APT's are pretty good but so are Inzer's wraps.

I thought the Rage X was closed back? Something about stretchy material, how does that work?

I love the Double Rage X. I have gotten them open back and I have simply cut the closed back. Same thing.

Tell Murph to have you pause a bit before he gives you the press call. Tell Murph he is a filthy animal and ask him when he wants me to come up for a seminar.

Looks like you touch pretty high. I use a single ply Rage-X and find that touching low gives me a big boost with the lower part of the lift.

Nice pressing! You hit that easy. How fast was the 300?

Same speed, although it drifted a little uncomfortably towards my head on the way up. I need to work more on my explosion, Murph said it needs to be as explosively fast as possible.
