Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Just to clarify my position on this...

Personally I do 1 or 2 sets of bicep work a week, same for triceps, after having been on rippetoes routine for quite a long time now.

I don't think an 'arm day' is necessary, but I do believe a little extra focus on the arms in the form of iso exercises is beneficial to those seeking to improve a lagging body part.

    Anyway....

As for the sheep mentality, its definitely here.

Do you really think that 1-2 sets of arm work makes THAT much difference? Come now.

The easiest way to gain arm size is to gain overall size. Your arms will grow along with you. I've never yet seen someone who weighted 180 lbs yet had 19 inch muscular arms.

I agree. The magazine titles such as "How to Increase your Bicep SIZE with Curls" seem to be leading more than a few astray.
