Thread: 8lbs in 2 weeks? Oh my

    8lbs in 2 weeks? Oh my

    I have lost 8lbs of body weight in 2 weeks. I know something is up. Im 90% sure that I didn't lose 8 lbs of fat. And im 100% sure I didn't lose any muscle. So I guess the only other way is water loss. I drink 500ml of water at lunch, 1L at the gym, 700ml's at super, and 500ml's before I go to bed. Im not sure if thats enough water or not. What do you think?

    If not, what else should I be drinking? Is there something I can add to water that is not a powder or has junk cals?

    Assuming you're on a healthy diet probably 2-3lbs of that was fat and the other 5-6 was water and glycogen. I don't really know metric units very well so I'm not exactly sure how much water 500-700ml's is but you should be aiming for 1+ gallons of water per day (definetly more if you're signifigantly active throughout the day).

    To address your second question: There is really nothing better to drink than water (that is assuming you get enough nutrients through food).

    1000ml or 1 liter =~1 quart
    You should probably be drinking more water, as that is only a little over half a gallon a day, but that is probably not your problem. Most likely, not drinking enough water would make your body retain more water weight.
    Are you sleeping well, and long enough? Have you been more stressed lately? Have you been more active? Has your stomach been upset?
    I say drink close to twice as much water as you are. While your body is active, you can drink a liter of water every 15 minutes. Not that I reccomend it, but it's possible.

    I know im losing muscle because I have been getting stronger.

    Since I started, I havent done anything different. I eat about the same and drink about the same (if not more now). i just wanted to know why, out of the blue, I droped 8 lbs in 2 weeks

    getting stronger doesn't always mean gaining muscle...sorry
    I'm not saying you lost a ton of muscle...I'm just saying you sure as heck didn't keep it all, regardless of how much stronger you are...

    when did you start, whats your diet consist of, and what are your macro #'s

    I started 2 months ago. I was 219 and now am 200.

    My diet is just eating less, but much more protein. And a TON of cardio

    What are macro numbers?

    like how many calories, how much protein, how much fat, how much fiber, etc...

    about 2000 cals per day, around 100g of protein, not sure on the rest. Maybe 250g of carbs or more. not a lot of fat, about 50g at most

    You need more protein. Try to bring it up to twice as much as you're taking in now. You should have 1g protein for every lb of body weight every day.
