The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

injured after arm wrestle and work.

I work as a landscaper and am constantly jolting my arms when i'm digging etc... i was arm wrestling about 10 days go and i pulled my left arm, i think i've got swollen tendons, cause i get a really dull ache in my elbow and upper forearm and plus my shoulder and uper arm. This occurs a few seconds after i've been lifting moderately heavy things and lasts for no more than a few minutes.

the pain has got better, and i even managed some 45lb dumbell curls with minimal ache..

I just wanna know if anyones experianced this? i did have a mdeic appointment, but the pain seems to be easing.

    cheers

Does the arm feel week when the pain occurs?

It sounds very similar to the way my arm has been since i was about 15. Every time i had an arm wrestle, i'd have a dull ache for a few days afterwards- I'd set off the ache by playing tennis or golf. I used to find that emmersing my arm in hot water would relieve the pain.

After letting it rest for a week, i'd be back to normal.

I learnt to not arm wrestle.

I spent sooo much money going through physio and visiting specialists- none of them could give me an answer. They were talking about tennis elbow, tendonitis, compartment syndrome etc. Nothing conclusive though.

oh and yes it does feel very weak.. But its got better. When i first felt this pain my arm would hurt to the point where i found it hard to drive because my arm was too weak,

Are you icing the arm at all? I used to get this same issue when I was working summers building decks. All the hammering just shredded my arm and it got to the point where I couldn't even hold a glass in my hand my grip was so bad.

I started adding in an ice bath for the arm every other day and that helped a lot with the pain and weakness.
