    what specific muscle does this one exercise target?

    i've seen people do it in the gym, what they do is put tons of weight on a 45lb barbell, the standard bench pressing one, stand over it, pick it up, and then shrug their shoulders up. thanks.

    The deadlift works about everything, not any single muscle.

    It sounds like he's just describing BB shrugs, unless he means that they put the bar back down after every time they shrug their shoulders.

    ahh you beat me to it. Well if it doesn't look like that ^^ then it might be a deadlift. But I am more leaning towards shrugs as well.
