The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Celebrating Mediocrity

The front page of the newspaper today has an article about a 16 year old girl who is going to try out for canadian idol tomorrow. They show her picture, she is obese, with ugly glasses and wearing a black emo shirt with a music note on it.

This girl - even if she has an amazing voice - has no chance of winning canadian idol.

    1) she is 16
    2) She if obese
    3) she is ugly

While ugly people have won american/canadian idol before, and obese people have, an ugly fat person has never won/never will win.

I don't get why she is front page news, she hasnt even tried out yet, she could get cut in the first round and not even make it in front of the judges.

Why is the newspaper celebrating this girl when she has not accomplished anything?

Those shows are garbage. I won't even watch Fox during the news times anymore because they always have Idol Updates like it's breaking news. Some how people are fascinated by watching talentless idiots make fools of themselves on national television. American Idol in on 3-4 nights a week for like 2 hours or some ****. So lame.

it's weird that they put her in the newspaper before she tries out.

However, did you see the Brit version of UK's Got Talent or whatever it was? Some ugly overweight dude CRUSHED everyone by singing opera.

Yes, but if you lived on your own little island for a few centruies your country could get ****ed up to.

    Oh wait..
Being a strong teenager means nothing.

My wrists hurt, but some people don't have wrists to be sore. My knees have tendinitis, but some people don't have legs to get tendinitis in. I seem to be going backwards with training, yet some people can't even walk let alone lift 400 pounds on a daily basis.

Dust out the vagina, and keep on lifting.

I'm sick of seeing ugly, self-loathing losers in the papers. The media is making it acceptable to be a lazy, fat tub o' goo these days.

Paul Potts was classically trained in Italy and studied under some of the masters, so its not EXACTLY the "feel good zero-becomes-hero" story that it seemed like on the surface... now that being said, Potts has some freaking pipes. I LOVED his performance and I thought it was incredible. He's got a real future ahead of him and I'm glad he got the training he did.

Someone can have a talent for something, but that doesn't mean it doesn't need to be trained. Chances are very good that anyone else could undergo the same training he did but never get anywhere near what he did.

"Talent" doesn't mean you're good at something without having to work for it.
If one person can do something, anyone can learn to do it.

I think he gave the female judge a small orgasm at 1:59. Good voice though.
