The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

What happens if I don't get enough protein?

So I've been thinking, lots of protein is needed for building muscle. But what if I'm a vegetarian? Would lack of protein do anything to me? (I'm not a vegetarian I'm just curious).

Chances are they aren't getting all the essential amino acids.. In that case I suppose the body would break down muscle.

I'm not really sure, I'm not a doctor... Or umm.. whoever would study this..

Since you say you are vegetarian and not vegan, I assume you eat eggs? I would eat a lot of eggs and certain kinds of beans. Do you also drink milk? Milk/cheese is also a good source of protein. Of course, you can always supplement with protein shakes, as well.

Their body wouldn't have enough EAAs to properly repair and function. The body would resort to breaking down tissue until the protein intake supported the body size. You would land up looking like a concentration camp victim. Of course this is extreme and over a long term.

It's probably pretty easy for a vegetarian to get the daily recommended amount of protein (like 65g). Yes, I know that's not enough for a bodybuilder.

I have yet to meet an actual vegetarian let alone a bodybuilder thats a vegetarian. Most people i know say they are vegetarians but they are really vegans. Or they are some kind of vegetarian cheater where they can have cheese because of some stupid made up reason.

Why wouldn't a vegetarian be allowed to eat cheese? It is vegans that avoid all animal products. I think you might have the terms confused.

Vegans are the ones that take it rediculousy far and won't use any products associated with animals, including clothing. I'm sure there's plenty of vegetarians that milk and cheese.

theoretically, it doesn't matter where you get them -- at bare minimum, if you can put the 8 essential amino acids somewhere in your diet plan, your body can do what it needs to do.

the only thing is, it's harder to get the same quantity.

also, bill pearl is a badass.

Mum: What do you want for dinner?

    Me: Cow.
Being a strong teenager means nothing.

My wrists hurt, but some people don't have wrists to be sore. My knees have tendinitis, but some people don't have legs to get tendinitis in. I seem to be going backwards with training, yet some people can't even walk let alone lift 400 pounds on a daily basis.

Dust out the vagina, and keep on lifting.
