The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Twice A Day? (Cutting Routine)

Lucky for me my schedule is convenient enough that I can do two a days quite often. Is this a wise choice for weight loss? My typical routine 6 of 9 days would be:

8am weightlifting followed by HIIT cardio
    2pm HIIT cardio

Is this a good idea or am I pushing myself a little too much? Ive actually been doing it the past few weeks and am enjoying it but I am wondering if its really helping my fat burning or if I should just stick to the morning session.

    Thoughts?

I would say you would be unnecessarily depleting yourself.

The best advice I've received about cutting is that you should really focus in on your diet and training wise just have as a goal to maintain strength (or even gain a bit) by doing low reps and high weight.

First you need to be on a base Diet. Once you have gotten that down, you would cut carbs by 20-25%. After that stopped working add three 30 minute cardio workouts a week. over time work up to five 45 minute Cardio workouts.

If you just start out doing that muscle cardio, you are going to burn up a load of you muscle and energy...

When doing Split training always allow yourself 6 hours between workouts!

    Good Luck Brother!

I have read many books by Chris Aceto (helped guild Jay Cutler to the Mr Olympia) and he said to work up to 5 - 45 minutes workouts a week.

lol I just typed a huge post and some how my comp shut down the page... Wow that made my morning! lol Here we go again....

Diet is the Biggest Key to losing BF. I will give you a breakdown of what I mean.

    My Diet:

    Meal 1
    Protein Shake - In Water

    Meal 2
    8oz Chicken
    6oz Yogurt

    Meal 3
    1 1/2 Cups Cottage Cheese 1%
    1 Cup Apple Sauce

Meal 4 or 5 - depends on when I workout
    8oz Chicken
    6oz Yogurt

    Meal 5 or 4!
    Protein Shake - In Water

    Meal 6
    1 1/2 Cups Cottage Cheese 1%
    1 Cup Apple Sauce

This would be my Base Day around 40g Carbs at each Food Meal. I eat like this for 2-3 Weeks. From here I will start adding in Low Carb day, around 20g at each Food Meal. Once or Twice a week I will have a High Carb Day, around 60g of carbs at each Food Meal. Once I stop losing BF I will add in Cardio 3 Times a Week for 30 Minutes.. Once this doesnt eat away at the BF I then start woring up too 4-5 Cardio Works a Week.

This should be done over 12-16 Weeks. It is a long hard ass time, but your gains will be awesome!

I will be posting a HUGE thing in the Powerlifting Section today. I will be dropping from 190 to 165 for the WPA Bench Worlds. I'm going to have Pics, Vids, Diets Breakdown, Workouts... ect. I'm going to try and drop 12-15lbs over 8 Week (been Dieting for 5 Weeks Now) and see if Im able to keep my strength and size!

Hope this is what you were looking for!

Since none of us are Jay Cutler or Olympia stage bodybuilders, Chris Aceto's recommendations are fairly pointless for most of us.

How many weeks are you planning on doing this for? What distances/sets/reps are you doing for the sprints?
