    what would be a good sauce to make to put over white rice?

    cook with some broth/stock instead of water. add some black beans to the rice at the end.

    I use a can of tomato sauce. Toss in some grilled chicken and zucchinni or peas. I use brown rice, but I'm sure you could do the same with white.
