    Sled Draging/ Power Sled

    Anyone Know How To Make Weight Sled? Or Where To Buy A Nicely Made One. I Bought One Over The Internet Aand It Broke In The First 5 Days I Returned

    A cheap way is to put a piece of plywood inside a tire and put weight on the plywood, and attach a rope to the tire.

    If you're a bit more advanced here's a design by amateur strongman Kurt Hessenbruch.

    Yeah I live in Toronto and Kingston. I work out with Bryan.

    This summer I'll probably live in Toronto and do a few of the comps in the region. I'm still not strong enough for a lot of them.

    Ahh I see. Do you have a tire/sled/farmers walk...etc? I'd be interested in doing some tire flips with some experienced guys. I have a sled and farmers bars but no tire. Where do you train in toronto?

    I think you have some heightened expectations of who I am. I have only flipped tire twice in my life.

    There are some farmer's walk handles here at Queen's, and on Toronto Island they have the equipment they used in the contest (tire, farmers, log, rock, although the log might be broken). Last summer I worked out at the U of T gym, not sure about this summer. I'm going to see if I can train with Team Barbarian, a Toronto-based strongman crew.

    I just nailed a piece of plywood on two 6X6's which I borrowed (stole) from work. Screwed some plumbing on the top for weights to slide onto. Cost me like 18 bucks.
