The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    DE bench

    Foam roll + skip

    Close-grip incline press (almost upright):
    45x10
    75x10
    95x10
    105x10
    115x5
    115x5

    Chins:
    100 in 13:20 - PR

    Dips:
    BWx10
    25x10
    25x10
    25x10
    25x10
    25x10
    BWx12

    Pulldowns w/ minis:
    x12
    x12
    x12
    x12

Not much to add here except I remember why I'm suppose to row when I bench and not do it today -- I deadlifted yesterday and my back wouldn't be recovered enough. I'm still slightly playing around with accessory work to see what fits best based on recovery. Happy with the PR on the chins, though.

I'll kill you, jed. My body weight hasn't surpassed 170 for a long time now. I like where my body fat % is at right now and plan on keeping it that way. I just want to slowly increase muscle mass from here on out. It'll be one slow, long road for that but right now my goals are geared towards strength. My heaviest was 183 lbs which was just over a year and a half ago.

Bored and just thought I'd throw some motivational videos of Jim Wendler's lifts that I repeatedly watch from time to time. Makes me eager to start 5/3/1 again! Soon...

I love watching him pull for reps. So smooth and flawless technique:

On a side note, Wendler is THE MAN. 5-3-1 is awesome. That is all.

Lol, I wonder if wendler chose ZZ Top to squat to in that 2nd vid.

Nice lifting bro! You have awesome strength for your bodyweight. How tall are you?
I watch Wendler's videos for motivation from time to time also. His bench form in that video is perfect. I am also kind of surprised he uses a touch n go dead lift vs. resetting each rep.

    Next competition:

One-arm row 0.6 times your body weight for as many reps as possible

    - Complete as many reps as possible without the dumbbell touching the floor
    - Straps are allowed (I have to use them since my handles spin, so **** off)
    - Record it on video (if you can)

I wanted to do .75 times your body weight but I figured for some of the fatties in here, they wouldn't be able to do that and .5 is just too damn light.

So no restriction on which arm to use? Or are we using both arms?
