The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

what's all that stuff hanging from your back?
either way, that 650 came up pretty quick...that's some strength

tell the spotter on bench to get his hands off it!
I believe that when the body is strong, the mind thinks strong thoughts. Time spent away from the Iron makes my mind degenerate. I wallow in a thick depression. My body shuts down my mind.

Those are the straps of my squat suit. They would normally be worn up over the shoulders for more support.

If the spotters hadn't of stayed close I would have dumped 365 on my face two sets earlier(missed the third rep). When shirt benching in training, we always stay pretty damn close because anything can happen. It's a lot different when raw benching.

Damn impressive Chris. You must be close to setting records for your weight class.

Yeah I noticed on the 405lbs press there was this large fleshy looking thing under your back, it looked like you'd unergone some sort of monstrous mutation that made you much stronger. Do you subject yourself to high doses of astral raditaion before you go for a pr?

Congrats on the bench PR. Squat looked great too.
Success is achieved by doing a little more than you thought you could, and a lot more than anyone else.

Awesome work - I remember the first time I pressed 8 big plates - It scared the crap outta me, but when it was done I didn't come down for almost an hour. You got more in that squat, you went way deep - deeper than you had too for comps.
