My current 1RM is 225, 2RM is 215, and 3RM is 205. This was tested on my ME chest day which was monday. Today (Saturday), I did hypertrophy chest and found out that I can only do 185 3 times. Can anyone explain to me why I can do 205 3 times and 185 only 3 times?

I assume you're talking about bench. Did you try the 225, 215, and 185 consecutively?
Did you warm up before attempting the 185? Maybe the 185 warmed you up?
This is strange because there is a 20 lbs is a big difference.
In that case, you probably warmed up too much on the day you did 185x3.

You're probably benching too much. I know I sound like a broken record, but focus on your squats and deadlifts.
Hopefully its what I was thinking, pre-lift. Thats easily fixed.
Well, it also is probably how you are training too. I remember Fuzzy wrote that he struggled to squat 225 for 10, but is maxing out over 450 lbs oly style.
My bigger question, why do flat barbell bench ME and then do it in the same week hypertrophy as well? Don't Westside style trainers(which it sounds like you are trying to do) use different exercises when they train in different ranges in a given week? Also, don't they cycle the exercises they ME on? ie week 1 Flat Barbell bench, Week 2 2 Board Press, Week 3 Close Grip, and week 4 Floor press, or something like that? Most don't even include a flat bench as an ME exercise for most of their training and focus on that during their DE days right? Also, isn't the ME day designed for one to reach a specific max(be it a 1 rep, 2 rep, 3 rep) and stop, because that is the MAXIMUM EFFORT for the day? How can one reach 3 maximum efforts in one day? Things for you to consider.
