The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Elbow is still messin with me but since there is no flexion or extension at the elbow for deads it didn't bother me much for these.

    Deadlift
    155x10
    225x5
    275x5
    315x5
335x1-Felt hard I set it back down I pulled it up like such a pussy. I almost went home after this just having one of those days. Then I told myself I'm a *****ing champion damnit now lets train like one!
    335x5
    370x5-PR!

    Leg press-4pps+20lbs
    x15-PR
only did one set I could feel my hip flexors still needed recovery from squats.

Back at it for the first time in two weeks

Took it light today I wasn't going to take any chances ****ing my elbow up.
    Bench
    45x12
    135x10
    195x8
215x6- After this I ever so slightly felt my elbow acting up. Just that was enough for me to call it not taking any chances today.

    Incline DB Press
    120x12
    x10
    x8
The db's felt much better. I should have just DB Benched..

    Rows
    x12
    x9
    x9

That's all I did today gotta take it easy on the elbow. Not the best sessions but it felt so good to lift again! I should be back in a good stride here in a couple weeks.

Soar throat is really acting up on me!!

Hip flexor is still a little tweak we'll see how things go.

    Front Squat
    45x10
    135x8
    155x5
205x5-Went up the easiest it ever has. I know I could have set a PR Tonight but my Damn left hip flexor started acting up. Hopefully its all better by Dead lift day.

    Leg Extensions

haha I never do these but I need to work my quads without using my hips

    x15x3

    Hamstring Curl
    x8x2

    Shoulders & Tris

    Seated db Shoulder Press
    40x12
    120x8x3
    120x9+forced Rep

-Definitely harder but I didn't lose too much strength here.

    Lateral Raise 1 min RI
    16x8x3

Bent over Reverse Flies-one min RI
    50x12x3

    Dips
    bwx12

    Tricep rope pull
    x15

Had to keep the volume low today to be safe on the elbow.

Overall not bad I'll be back up to where I was by next week.

    Awesome workouts.

I was spotting that big guy again yesterday when I went. He barely missed benching 5 plates but then again he did 5x5x405 before trying 5 plates.

Never seen him besides when he is benching. Probably doesn't squat or dead much but he is freaky strong on the bench. I'll point him out if I see him. Super nice guy too.
